2 ) Want to keep your guild ( or guilds depending on how many sub-guilds you create for the purpose of gvg competition ) at the top of the ladder ? The fewer guilds that you have to compete against helps to secure that position for a longer period, fairly simply put. And a great way of keeping those numbers low is by spending your non-gvg time holding the HoH for hours on end, getting more sigils
Now this is a very out-of-the-box way to look at things, but it makes perfect sense. Only thing is it's kind of already been taken to the next step. Top 10 guilds only consist of 3-4 actual ones, and the others are just holding spaces with similar names, but the same guild nonetheless.

Does anyone know if Sigils are stackable? They should just make the sigils unstackable, forcing players to take up their limited inventory space, and making it more appealing to sell to an npc. Can someone who's lucky enough to have to respond?

In short term it will only make the rich get richer, but as more and more sigels are out there the cheaper they will become. It wont be a quick fix by any means. I simply dont understand why A-net just doesnt sell them through the trader it would end the price gouging once and for all.

I think with the current 3-sigil increase, and if they made them only sellable to npcs, it would improve the situation a ton.

It would increase the supply of sigils to the npc trader, which would adjust the price to the supply and demand sigils. They would still be pretty expensive (I'm thinking 5-10k?) but not as horrendous as the 100k prices you've seen.

Guild Wars is about competition. Winners of that HoH do deserve that guild hall more than guilds with just the loot. But should only top-tier guilds be able to hoard the sigils or sell them? If this were the case, why have a sigil trader npc? It wouldn't have existed in the first place.

I think that the excessive price of sigils is one of the reasons the economy is wavering about... unlike material traders, which have a steady supply, sigil traders have none, so it's all up to some guilds to make up their own inflated prices.

For now, I'll keep trying my hand at the HoH until a real solution is achieved.
